I come from a huge city, I am use to having 2 major zoos and an aquarium. I have seen everything from dolphins to beluga whales to koala and giraffe. My new hometown has a zoo that you can probably walk through in 15 minutes if you take your time. Last year however something wonderful happened. Two Kodiak bear cubs were abandoned and rescued in Alaska and somehow our tiny zoo got together big companies with money to build a state of the art habitat for them….the kind of things the ‘big name’ zoos have. Their habitat includes two huge areas connected by a bridge that they can walk over and people can walk under. One has a small pool and the other has trees and grass and a huge swimming hole in good weather. As they were just lazing around the other day, my friend just took this one photo for me. But here they are, the stars of the Wildwood Park and Zoo….Munsey and Boda. They were named after two of the men who rescued them. Sometimes their IS a happy ending to stories 🙂
